Hello, hope all of you Bs had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
"Big Thanks to those who courageously fought and those who bravely fight today <3"
So this past weekend was a fellow Bimbos birthday.. of course we went out to celebrate, Bimbo style. Four days of fun, fun, fun ((drinks were definitely drank)). However, we found that eating out and eating "Paleo" was a lot easier than it seemed. Friday night I cooked my favorite dish of the moment, Chicken "Tacos" ((recipe to come, obvi delish)). The tricky part started Saturday, the morning after our first night out. PANERA. You all know how DELISH every pastry/panini/cheesy ooey gooey thing looks! Well, I opted for the fuji apple salad (almost tearing up when my friend ordered the panini), with only the veggies and chicken with a balsamic dressing. OMG. I was in taste bud heaven. So freaking good (I even went back Tuesday to get another). Sunday consisted of a trip to the City to watch the Giants game, where I had a carnitas taco, hold the shell. Also great, thank you Pedro's. Monday we ended up at a Sport's Bar to watch the A's kick the Giant's boooootay and that was a little more challenging (I just wanted some damn breaded wings). I ended up with a piece of grilled chicken with bacon over lettuce. Not only am I feeling more confident that I can do this "Paleo" thing, I'm also not feeling guilty from all the yucky food I would have normally ate! Win Win! (except for the Giants, Sweeeeeeeep anyone?)
So Bimbos if you're like me, it's hard to give up your fave foods, but I'm extremely proud of myself. I know I'll be happier in the long run and I definitely know, If I can do it, you Bimbos can too!
Stay happy and stay healthy!
Bye Bimbos,
G
