I am obsessed with Italian food. Maybe because I'm a whopping 8% Italian... maybe not (probably not)... One of my favorite dishes is Pasta Bolognese. Although it's not the healthiest, I have found a recipe that I love that makes it a little more Bimbo friendly. Sorry B's but no noodles allowed! Ingredients: 1 can crushed tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce 1 pkg. EXTRA LEAN ground turkey 1 clove of garlic 1 Med. Onion finely chopped Few sprays of EVOO (TJ's carries Evoo Spray!) Optional: Broccoli, mushrooms, any other veggie you desire. (Since there are no noodles in this recipe I like to bulk mine out with veggies!) | Preparation: In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat add your Evoo Spray. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until just tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Then, add your veggies and meat to cook for about 3-4 minutes increasing heat to Med High. Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cover and let simmer on medium low for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally! Bon Appetit Bimbos! Stay happy & stay healthy! Ciao Bimbos, G |

Hello, again. Gab here. I'm making up for lost time... two posts in one day, after two weeks of silence?... I know, it's overwhelming to say the least.
Anyways Bimbos, I wanted to tell you about my latest obsession. Seriously cannot make enough of these! If fruit didn't have so many sugars and I had more than one blender, I'd live off smoothies. It's like dessert. All day. Whenever I want. Without the guilt. HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT?! I've been trying out all sorts of different ones and thought I'd share my faves. Strawberry, Banana, Peach 1 Cup Dole Frozen Fruit Tropical Blend 1 Cup Trop 50 (OBSESSED) Orange Juice 3/4 Cup Dannon Light and Fit Vanilla Yogurt 1 Handful of Spinach Chocolate Banana 1 Cup LIGHT Silk Soy Chocolate Milk 1 Whole Banana 1 Handful of Spinach Cup of Ice Cubes A bit of Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt (You can also add peanut butter to this! Also DEEEElicious.) Strawberry Banana 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries 1 Whole Banana 1 Handful of Kale 1 Cup Yogurt Splash of Fat Free Milk Seriously though Bimbos, the options are ENDLESS. I also love frozen strawberries with a chocolate protein shake (thanks Gen) and some ice. You can throw some chia seeds into any of these as well. I cannot get enough! Hope you Bimbos enjoy! Share your recipes below. I'd love some more to try out! Stay happy & stay healthy! Bye Bimbos, G Hi Bimbos. We're extremely sorry for our long absence. We have been really busy, working, working out (we have actually been doing some of that!), and also doing a whole lot of nothing (let's get real). And that's why we're posting today. We're tired of doing nothing after those long work days. Where did our motivation go?! It was like a really great high. We were doing so well, until we weren't. But that's what this blog is for, right? Our ups and downs, success and failures, and everything in between! So, here we go again (luckily not on our own).
Countdowns: Gab's trip to Disneyworld: 50 days 5k in San Ramon: 71 days Mel's brother's wedding: 87 days So, we have a lot to look forward too. Also, a lot more to lose and obviously a lot more working out to do. So Bimbos, grab your bottles of water, yoga mats, running shoes, Gym Key FOB, and get your ass back out there. We'll be sharing results, hopefully soon. Good luck Bimbos. Stay happy & stay healthy! Bye Bimbos, M & G Hello Hello Hello! Hope all of you Bimbos had a wonderful week! I just got home from a long weekend trip to Disneyland with the family. So much fun. Cars Land is incredibly amazing, this Bimbo is ready to pack up her things and move in to Radiator Springs (Mater, call me)!
Let's get down to business.... While on my vacay I definitely did not eat well. At all. Hello it's Disneyland... I wanted to have my damn chocolate covered bananas. So I did. Without feeling guilty (sort of). But like I've said before, it's alright. I fell off the wagon. I gave in to temptation. It happens. But guess what? It's Tuesday, I'm home and that means back to reality. Lean turkey meat, grilled chicken, veggies, and fruit. And obviously, back to the gym. With my fruit and orange juice (OBSESSED with Trop50 right now) smoothie, I cheers to you, Bimbos. Here's to falling off the wagon, but hopping right back on. Happy Tuesday! Stay Happy & Stay Healthy! Bye Bimbos, G Hello Hello Bimbos! Hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend, we definitely enjoyed our time away from work! As you know, all good things must come to an end. So sadly, we're here typing to you from our desk at work. At any rate, we wanted to share what we're making for dinner! Just in case you were curious.... We love anything and everything spicy, so tonight on our menu is, Spicy Turkey Burgers (hold the bun) with pepper jack cheese. mmmmmm. We're excited just thinking about it.
Here's what you'll need: ((Yields 2 Bimbo servings)) 1/2 pound Ground Turkey Meat (99% Lean is Gab's fave) 1/2 of canned Jalapenos 1/2 of small canned Green Chiles Dash of salt and pepper (of course) 2 slices of Pepper Jack Cheese 2 Slices of Tomato Lettuce to wrap your burger in In a large bowl combine turkey meat with jalapenos, green chiles, and salt and pepper. Shape the meat into two round burger patties. Cook on medium for 4-5 minutes on each side or until juices run clear. Put your pepper jack cheese on to melt. Top with tomato and whatever else your little Bimbo heart's desire and wrap with lettuce! Voila, a yummy satisfying burger, without the heavy bread! Dig in Bimbos and we hope you enjoy. Stay happy & stay healthy! Bye Bimbos, M & G |
