Hey Bimbos! We have been struggling to get through the week. Work has been exhausting and our beds are just so comfortable in the morning it's hard to get going. However, we have pushed through and are happy we made it over the Hump day of the week (without hurting anyone) and Friday is ALMOST here. Thank Gosh it's Thursday (TGIT).
So we have been on our health journey and have been doing a pretty damn good job. Running our 3.1 miles every day (Thanks Couch to 5K) and eating healthy. Although, there are some days when we just want to treat ourselves. We have come to find out, that it's OKAY! We aren't saying you should go to McDonald's every day or even every week. But sometimes it's alright to give in to temptation, as long as it is done in MODERATION!
mod·er·a·tion [mod-uh-rey-shuhn] (Gracias, Dictionary.com)
noun.the quality of being moderate; restraint; avoidance of extremes or excesses; temperance.
Now moderation has been a hard concept for us to grasp, but I think we finally have it down. Moderation does not mean, once a week we completely stuff our faces and load up on junk. Moderation to us, means, grabbing the occasional fast food/FroYo but making sure to order something we won't regret. For example, the new Taco Bell fiesta bowl, without the rice! Still hits the spot and we don't feel as guilty even though we know it's still not super healthy, it's at least better (we used to order a chicken quesadilla WITH nacho cheese and a few other things...).
So Bimbos, don't deprive yourselves completely. Instead, let's practice good discipline! Staying away from fast food, processed food, and junk food. It tastes so much better when you aren't eating it every day or every week. We promise. Stay happy & stay healthy! See you soon.
Bye Bimbos,
M & G
